I’ve gotten a little too comfortable with this keyboard
My hands do all the same things
And I feel like I have a lot to say and nothing to say
I ask myself who I’m saying it for and I ask myself who I’m living for, and when it’s me, the question is then begged as to what I need and what I want
And as many other people I’m sure share the sentiment of, that is a life long and never ending answer, I believe– so far
So then, you just do it. You do the things you can do and what you’re convinced you’re good at
But where’s the– where– when do you find the thing that you call happiness? When are you happy? Who is happy, and I would like to talk to them about what they believe that feeling is
Because I’d like to consider that the fundamental things that I consider to be necessary for life, I’m lucky enough to have
And the things that I would like to have, i feel like there’s not much that I think I really need
So when you run out of things to tell yourself that you need, you really get faced with this idea of what you want, and that is just a never-ending thought loop
Like that
And it tightens, and it loosens, and it tightens, and it loosens, and it tightens, and it loosens, and it tightens, and it loosens, and it tightens, and it loosens, and it does all these things back and forth and then I’m trying to write this album about this, but inevitably that becomes a tightening and loosening in its own
And maybe what I need to do is just keep doing it because I don’t know what else to do
But it always begs the question of if you are just missing that happiness by a hair, as if you just need to shift your perspective slightly, maybe that’s it, but I don’t think so
I think I’m just here and maybe when I wake up I’ll be right here
But right now I’m here, and sometimes this goes on for a while, it really does
But I just gotta trust, cause I’ve never not come back to here at some point
I’ve never stayed there
There’s always this, there’s always this, there’s always this, theres always some of this
Time and trust, I guess
Time and trust
Time and trust
Trust that you will come back
Trust that you will come back
Trust that you will be here, but here’s to come
Here always leads to here
Here always leads to here
Here always leads to here
And Here always leads to here
It’ll come back around
It will
