But the good Lord knows my diaries are filled with the girls I've adored and worshiped throughout the years in diaries and mementos they've given me and broken dreams and successful dreams here and there, going back to at least 1940, if not before

And uh, the recordings here today are rare. And a lot are my own. Because I'll never win the award as a songwriter, doesn't matter. As long as they like these songs
