Wild, Hungry Eyes - In His Own Words -
She greeted the night, unknowingly her last
Her dear friend the Dusk took all memories of the past
Her mind was a blank canvas so each night started fresh
With eyes to the sky and a hunger for flesh
Thus started the story, it's the last to be told
All pieces will shatter and all secrets will unfold
Transcendent sad melodies, sung out in the wild
Consumed by the ages, so listen my child...
A night out of many, they melt into one
The thrill of the kill she loved like a son
All things were in order and as they should be
With the pitiful cries of her prey as they flee
A sudden change came with winds heading west
Owl briefly lost bearing and was put to the test
Once stable again on currents of air
From far off came laughter, but nothing was there
Nothing but echoes, the most sinister heard
Spat out in spite from the beak of a bird
Then came the shadow and struck her with awe
Then wild, hungry eyes and gargantuan claws!
In shock and confusion and great floods of rage
She wondered what being had entered the stage
"Tell me", she said, "tell me quickly or die
Who are you to come here, defiling my sky?"
